Welcome to Cape Ann Skeptics

We are a group of people interested in exploring the world with a skeptical point of view.

Our definition of skepticism is "rational, critical, and scientific thinking." We are not cynics nor contrarians. Rather, we are people who look at the world rationally.

Skeptics in the Pub on Cape Ann

Like Skeptics in the Pub meetings around the world, we gather as an opportunity for skeptics to meet one another and share ideas.

Meetings are generally scheduled for the third Tuesday of every month. There is no cost or registration.

August 18, Cape Ann Skeptics will have a presentation by Larry Gilbertson from Monsanto who will discuss the role of new and emerging technologies, including the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), in agriculture and food systems. He will have a dialog with Mary Mangan, a genome scientist and president of OpenHelix, LLC.
Rich and I heard them speak at the Boston Skeptics in the Pub and it was an excellent program you don’t want to miss!

We meet in the function room of The Azorean Restaurant, 133 Washington St, Gloucester.

6:00 Begin gathering to socialize and order food and drink
6:45 The program begins with short vidoes and miscellaneous fun

Everyone interested in skepticism is welcome!
