Welcome to Cape Ann Skeptics
We are a group of people interested in exploring the world with a skeptical point of view.
Our definition of skepticism is "rational, critical, and scientific thinking." We are not cynics nor contrarians. Rather, we are people who look at the world rationally.
Skeptics in the Pub on Cape Ann
Like Skeptics in the Pub meetings around the world, we gather as an opportunity for skeptics to meet one another and share ideas.
Meetings are generally scheduled for the third Tuesday of every month. There is no cost or registration.
On Tues March 17th, Cape Ann Skeptics will be in the Pub with a program called Cooking and Food - Facts and Fallacies. This
topic touches everyone since we all eat, many of us cook, and most of us have opinions about both. We will cover such questions as: Can you really make
delicious corn on the cob in a cooler or ice chest? Does tasty charred meat really cause cancer? |
We can’t promise to answer all of your burning questions but it should be a fun evening. Come - eat, watch, discuss.
We meet in the function room of The Azorean Restaurant, 133 Washington St, Gloucester.
Begin gathering at 6:00 to socialize and order food and drink
The program begins at 6:45
Everyone interested in skepticism is welcome!
