Welcome to Cape Ann Skeptics

We are a group of people interested in exploring the world with a skeptical point of view.

Our definition of skepticism is "rational, critical, and scientific thinking." We are not cynics nor contrarians. Rather, we are people who look at the world rationally.

Skeptics in the Pub on Cape Ann

Like Skeptics in the Pub meetings around the world, we gather as an opportunity for skeptics to meet one another and share ideas.

Meetings are generally scheduled for the third Tuesday of every month. There is no cost or registration.

On Tues Oct 20, Skeptics in the Pub will have A Tribute to Oliver Sachs. This will be a combination of videos and discussion. Many of you are no doubt familiar with neurologist Sachs who died Aug. 30 and was a best selling author “who explored the brain’s strangest pathways.”
Two of his most famous books were The Man who Mistook his Wife for a Hat and Awakenings.

We meet in the function room of The Azorean Restaurant, 133 Washington St, Gloucester.

6:00 Begin gathering to socialize and order food and drink
6:45 The program begins with short vidoes and miscellaneous fun

Everyone interested in skepticism is welcome!
